Gaming
My mother introduced me to board games when I was about three or four years old, and to card games when I was about seven. I discovered Role Playing Games a few years later and have been playing them ever since.
I’ve been writing games since I was twelve years old, and since then even had some stuff published. I wrote a bunch of stuff for Steve Jackson Games’ excellent Car Wars game, some of which is reproduced here. In the past few years I built an entire online multiplayer game world called Hidden Tradition using Bioware’s remarkable Neverwinter Nights toolkit.
I currently lecture in Computer Games Design at a college in England, which ironically means I have a lot less time to play games than I would like. These days I still play a lot of Guild Wars, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and Mario Kart.
